Blessed Virgins Mailing List

The Club is setting up a mailing list for all Blessed Virgins, to keep you updated on news and events. If you are a Blessed Virgin and would like to subscribe, please email the Webmaster from whichever email address you would like to be contacted on.

Please also include information on any crews you raced in whilst at Oxford to enable us to update our records.

The 2008 KPMG Oriel Regatta is cancelled

Unfortunately due to high stream conditions and on advice from the EA and the lock keeper, we have been forced to cancel the 2008 KPMG Oriel Regatta in its entirety. We will be arranging refunds in the coming week. Please wait to hear from the Regatta Secretary by email.

The 2008 KMPG Oriel Regatta

We are now accepting entries for the 2008 KMPG Oriel Regatta, which takes place on the Isis on the afternoons of Friday and Saturday of 7th Week (6th and 7th June).

Summer Eights 2008, Day 4

An up and down week for Oriel ended with the men returning to 2nd on the River, the position they had held before the disaster in 2006, and the women finishing in the top division for the first time since 1994.

In the lower boats, the men's 2nd and 3rd VIIIs both had good weeks, both narrowly missing out on blades by one bump. The women's 2nd VIII ended on a high with a bump on Worcester II on Saturday and the men's 4th VIII put in some good performances, rowing over on the Wednesday.
